Do you Believe
Dreams are dreams,
Unless you believe,
That one day soon
They will come true
I used to believe
That what I saw
Was what my life
Would soon involve
I hoped and prayed
For that day
I would met this man
And my life would be grand
The day did come
That we did meet
Yet something was so terribly wrong
His heart was broke
And on the mend
And the path he took
Provided great walls
No matter what I had seen
No matter what I had felt
The timing was wrong
And never would be right
This lifetime is not for us
Even though of what I had seen
But there is a love that knows no bounds
That will bind once again in a lifetime to come.
You were always there
To lend an ear, a shoulder, a hug
To make me laugh till I cried and my sides hurt.
You picked me up when I was down
You listened when I was pissed about life, about work
Never judging, never walking away
Then one day things changed
Not for you, but for me
And I grew scared.
How could I have let my feelings come this far
How could I have let this happen to me
How am I going to deal with this new feeling
Then one day I decided to tell
What do I have to lose
The least you could do is walk away
So I told you how I felt
Holding my breathe
Till I thought I would be blue.
You had no clue
And never realized
Just what had happened
Time moved on
And so did we
It was then I began to see
What I had seen in dreams of long ago
Would never come true
Would never evolve
There is always next time
The next life
The next path
Will you be waiting
Will you be there when I need you again
Do you believe we can find each other?
Do you believe
Do you believe
I sometimes wonder if you believe.
